     I was born on the 16th of May of 1979 in Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico. At that time, my family was still a family, a traditional Mexican one. Although with mixed roots, both my mother´s and father´s families were also very Mexican, but not for many generations. My father´s family name "Rizo" is Italian, a derivate of "rizzo", which means "rice", while my mother´s family name "Méndez" comes from Spain. Both family roots were visibly tangled and mixed with pre-Hispanic blood, most likely Aztec.
     These are my origins; this is, very shortly, where I come from. But that´s not really me: that is only what I am in the eyes of the others.
     To me, my origin is rather more hazy than that. Perhaps my real origin is my most ancient memory; maybe is the moment when I engraved my soul with the very first perception of reality.  Thus my origin is a green velvet couch. I began to exist when I was around two years old, lying on that couch, caressed by an almost palpable white light filtered by invisible curtains and waving slowly from a very blurry window, floating somewhere around the corner of my eye. I can still feel the flavor of the lukewarm milk of my feeding bottle. The presence of my mother essentially gravitates in the seizing of that moment, but not her image; it is not a physical presence, it is rather a notion [...] TO BE CONTINUED...
